This is the volume three of the Shiva Trilogy and it must be read by those who've read the first two volumes - 'The Immortals of Meluha' and 'The Secret of the Nagas'. Since I had read the first two books I had to read this one. I felt that the book was a little too long. There were too many extensive description of places and battles which was a bit tiring to read. The book takes a bit of time to get going and I had to get used to the characters again as I'd read the second volume about two years back. Once the war begins it is intriguing to read but again too much description could have been avoided. The ending is tragic but the author had to be true to mythology although this is mytho-fiction. The author has also done a good job in not over complicating the language for which he was criticized after the second part. In conclusion, a good ending to the trilogy but it could have been far better if the novel was shorter.
