A thought provoking book which brings out the point on 'how much do we care to give back to the society to help the underprivileged'. All this through a very interesting story. It throws some light on notions we may have about US as a country devoid of people below poverty line or street urchins and homeless though their numbers may not be as huge.

Being an ardent fan of Sherlok Holmes, this book has not let down my expectations. Sherlock Homes revived after a century brings back the old memories and the nuances are well maintained in the story. The preface about the story to be told after a century makes it more believable. A word of caution to the readers - I used to read these stories as a child as the crimes were never gruesome. I wouldn't advocate a child reading this story. There are a few open questions after reading this book such as no explanation provided for the rapid fire exchange between Sherlock and his brother.
